How to Extinguish a Campfire
- After most of the wood has burned up, stir the charcoals and ashes with a long stick.
- Slowly pour some water over the remaining charcoals and ashes.
- Stir the wet ashes.
- Repeat as necessary.
Tips:
- No need to build a bonfire, small campfires are just as enjoyable, and easier to extinguish when it's time to go to bed.
- Be careful when pouring water on the fire as this may cause smoke and ashes to rise, which can be harmful to your eyes and lungs.
- Never leave a burning campfire unattended. Make sure all campfires are out before leaving the campsite.
